Welcome back to another blog post about our new, fully IP-capable X-Controller (XCO). In the first blog post we gave you an overall introduction to it. Now, let´s have a closer look.
INDUSTRONIC´s new INTRON-X is a state-of-the-art modular IP-based platform for scalable Intercom, PA/GA and PA solutions.
The X-Controller is the fully IP-capable core element of the INTRON-X.
As the leading provider of high-quality industrial communication systems, we maintain an industrial system philosophy of high reliability and availability on top of providing utmost flexibility.
Our new system generation is based on the latest IP technology, making it a future-proof investment. The INTRON-X can be used as Intercom, PA/GA, PA, Wide Area Notification (Siren) or as a combined system for various industrial communication requirements.
The following interview with Christine Segler, Director of Products, and Roland Leuthe, Head of Development Systems Software / INTRON-X Project Manager, gives an insight into the development of our new INTRON-X system.
So far we have only announced it. Now, we have successfully completed our first commissioning:
Our new IP based system is ready for use!
The first INTRON-X system was successfully installed and activated at our customer’s facility in the last few days.
What’s more:
The backward compatible INTRON-X was integrated into an existing digital communication system.
In this way, together with our customer, we were able to ensure that the well-known digital technology is linked to the new IP world and therefore a safe investment.

You can now use our industrial communication app with your mobile device – as the DUSTRON is now also available for iOS.
The NRO xx2/D is the evolution of the IP outdoor intercom station NRO 001, and provides many new functions. Like the previous model, the NRO xx2/D is connected to the network via IP and powered via PoE.
