The leading standard in the industry
The XPA IP amplifier is an integral part of INDUSTRONIC's modular INTRON-X platform for scalable, safety-critical public address and general alarm systems in industrial environments.
Its compact design with high power density is suitable for centralized system topologies with limited installation space as well as for decentralized applications to reduce cable routes.
Power and Performance
High power density
1,600 watts total output in only 2 RU rack space - ideal for systems with limited installation space.
Efficient Technology
Transformerless Class-D for unmatched high efficiency, less waste heat and reduced idle power consumption.
Multi-channel design
Four 400-watt amplifier stages, each with its own dedicated audio channel for simultaneous zone operation and high-power speaker loops.
Sustained Performance
Delivers true 30-minute continuous operation at full output power at elevated ambient temperature without shutdown, power throttling, or volume drop.
Built-in Power Reserves
Internal amplifier stages operate at 80% load even at full rated output, ensuring long service life and compliance with commonly specified 80% load limits without sacrificing usable capacity.
Versatile and Future-proof
Adaptable to various system designs
Suitable for centralized systems where permissible installation locations are limited and for decentralized architectures to leverage strategic amplifier placements to reduce costly field cable runs.
Scalable applications
Module add-ons for zone selection enable power distribution to up to 64 individually addressable speaker circuits. One amplifier can serve both finely segmented indoor zones and high-power outdoor loops for wide-area coverage.
Backward compatible
Mixed operations with previous NPA amplifier generation and software integration with previous system generation INTRON-D plus – keeping investment security for customers in mind.
User-friendly and Easy to Deploy
Truly embedded in INTRON-X
Not just a connected device but a fully integrated system component, seamlessly embedded in the unified INTRON-X software environment, ensuring consistent functionality and interoperability.
Smart mechanical design
Low installation depth, connector placement optimized for clean cable management, and pre-fabricated plug-type cables to minimize wiring efforts and errors, based on more than 60 years of cabinet manufacturing experience.
Easy deployment
Requires only power supply and network connectivity – no hidden hardware components or additional modules to achieve full functionality.
Redundancy and Monitoring
Integrated loudspeaker monitoring
This eliminates the need for external end-of-line modules for ease of field installations.
Redundancy modes
Supports external N+1 backup with high 1:10 ratio or optional device-internal N+1 channel redundancy mode. Fully compliant with A+B system redundancy with secured IP audio synchronization.
Redundancy performance
All redundancy switchovers are automatic and immediate, triggered by the continuous system monitoring and fast fault detection with no loss of critical functions or volume settings. This ensures uninterrupted alarms and signaling even in the unlikely event of a device fault.
Network and power redundancy
Integrated dual Ethernet interfaces for network redundancy and provision for direct connection to battery backup UPS.
