Code of Conduct
INDUSTRONIC sees itself as part of a globally connected economy and as an active member of the countries and societies in which it operates. INDUSTRONIC adheres to the concept of the "honorable businessman" and takes its responsibility as a company seriously. This means that:
• We monitor the direct and indirect effects of our business activities on the environment and society and strive to balance economic, ecological and social interests.
• We act in accordance with generally accepted values and principles, comply with the law and respect internationally recognized human rights and labor standards.
• We are jointly committed to the objectives and content of the Code of Conduct and will make every appropriate and reasonable effort, within the scope of our respective legal and actual possibilities, to comply with the voluntary commitment on an ongoing basis at all company locations in Germany and abroad.
If existing national regulations conflict with the contents of the Code of Conduct or if the domestic context makes it impossible to comply with them in full, we as a company will look for ways to comply with the requirements of the Code of Conduct wherever possible.
INDUSTRONIC pursues exclusively law-abiding business objectives and practices and only maintains business relationships with reputable partners.
We behave fairly and respectfully toward business partners and customers and respect different legal, economic, social and cultural backgrounds as well as the special circumstances of the countries and regions in which we operate as a company. In doing so, we comply with the laws and regulations of the countries and regions in which our business activities take place.
INDUSTRONIC always bases its business activities on generally accepted ethical values and principles, including integrity and respect for human dignity, and promotes free and fair global trade.
1.1 Corruption, Trade Control, Money Laundering
We reject any form of bribery and corruption. To this end, we are already avoiding any semblance of this, whether in the form of granting or accepting unfair advantages.
INDUSTRONIC acts in accordance with the applicable import and export control regulations and complies with the legal requirements for the prevention of money laundering.
1.2 Donations and Sponsoring
INDUSTRONIC recognizes its responsibility to support education, science, art, culture and social causes. We therefore provide monetary and material donations for cultural activities, educational purposes and sport events, for example. All donations and sponsoring activities must be appropriate and transparent, in accordance with the applicable legal system and are checked in advance by the management and approved in writing.
We do not make donations to individuals or private accounts, nor to individuals or organizations that may harm the company's reputation.
Donations and sponsoring activities are always made on a voluntary basis and without any form of compensation. They must not be designed to secretly promote decisions in the interests of the company.
1.3 Fair Competition
INDUSTRONIC promotes free and fair competition. This means that we do not tolerate anti-competitive agreements and always ensure that our company acts in accordance with applicable antitrust laws. We reject competitive advantages through unfair business practices.
1.4 Handling of Personal Data, Protection of
Confidential Information and Intellectual Property
INDUSTRONIC respects the personal rights of its employees, business partners and customers and complies with the applicable legal and regulatory requirements for the processing of personal data and information security when handling personal information.
Our company protects entrusted trade secrets and other confidential information of business partners and customers from unauthorized acquisition, use and disclosure, at least in accordance with the relevant legal provisions for the protection of trade secrets.
The same applies to the intellectual property of business partners, customers and other third parties. When exchanging know-how and technology, we pay particular attention to ensuring that adequate precautions are taken to protect intellectual property rights.
For each individual, this means that we never disclose confidential information and handle personal information with care.
It us our duty to protect and preserve natural resources. This affects all of us. With this in mind, INDUSTRONIC carries out its business activities in an environmentally responsible manner and is committed to the goal of a climate-neutral future.
2.1 Environmental and Climate Protection
INDUSTRONIC assumes its ecological responsibility by applying the applicable legal requirements and recognized standards for environmental and climate protection. We are continually striving to reduce the negative impact of our business activities on the environment and climate.
INDUSTRONIC applies applicable law and takes appropriate measures that are based on legal and internationally recognized standards and cover, among other things, the following topics:
- Proper / professional and responsible handling of hazardous substances, chemicals and waste, including their disposal
- Measures to reduce or avoid waste
- Minimizing emissions from operational processes (e.g. waste water, exhaust air, noise, greenhouse gases);
- Preserving natural resources, e.g. Through measures to save water, chemicals and other raw materials and promoting the circular economy
- Use of climate-friendly and environmentally-friendly technologies, processes, raw materials and products;
- Measures to increase energy efficiency and the proportion of renewable energy used at company sites.
2.2 Health and Safety at Work
The health of our employees is extremely important for us. This is why we place great importance on ensuring that all health and safety requirements at work are met. INDUSTRONIC complies with national and international occupational health and safety standards and ensures a safe and healthy working environment (prevention of accidents, injuries and work-related illnesses) in order to maintain the safety and health of employees and third parties.
2.3 Product Quality
As a responsible company, we always ensure a high level of quality and safety of our products. Our employees must observe all legal and internal regulations on product development and product quality.
Employees regularly undergo awareness training on the Quality Management System. The Division Directors ensure that employees are continuously informed and updated about changes and innovations, and that they recognize the importance of such changes and innovations.
Human dignity is inviolable. That is why INDUSTRONIC respects the internationally recognized human rights set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations.
Our company is guided by the internationally recognized labor standards of the International Labour Organization (ILO), as set out below in this Code of Conduct.
INDUSTRONIC makes every effort to ensure that its business activities do not cause or contribute to human rights violations. We expect the same from our business partners. Where necessary and possible, we support our suppliers in this regard.
3.1 Employment Relationships
INDUSTRONIC treats its employees with respect and rejects any form of unlawful punishment, abuse, harassment, intimidation or other unworthy treatment of employees.
INDUSTRONIC applies the applicable labor law to all employment relationships and expects the same from its contractual partners. At the beginning of the employment relationship, employees must be provided with comprehensible information on the main working conditions, including their rights and obligations, working hours, remuneration and payment and settlement modalities.
We also respect and protect the right of employees to terminate their employment relationship in compliance with the relevant period of notice.
3.2 Rejection of Child Labor and Protection of Young Workers
We do not tolerate child labor and observe the applicable legal minimum age for employment. In any case, our company does not employ individuals under the age at which compulsory education ends according to the law of the place of employment, or individuals under the age of 15. Internships are organized in accordance with legal requirements.
INDUSTRONIC expects its contractual partners to have appropriate means of determining age in order to prevent child labor. If child labor is detected, all necessary measures must be taken immediately to focus on the welfare, protection and development of the child.
The rights of young employees under the age of 18 must be observed; they may only be employed if it is ensured that the working and employment conditions neither pose a risk to their health, safety or morals nor are harmful to their development.
3.3 Rejection of Forced Labor
INDUSTRONIC rejects forced or compulsory labor in any form. This also applies to all forms of debt bondage, serfdom, slavery or slavery-like practices, human trafficking and extends to all forms of involuntary labor and services that are incompatible with internationally recognized labor and social standards.
3.4 Principles of Remuneration
We apply the statutory or, where applicable, collectively agreed provisions in the remuneration of work services. Furthermore, we ensure that the payment of employees in the company does not fall below the applicable statutory minimum wage or, if applicable, the minimum wage stipulated by collective agreement or the minimum wage customary in the industry. In countries or regions without a statutory or collective wage framework, we ensure that the wages paid for regular full-time work are sufficient to meet the basic needs of employees.
INDUSTRONIC does not tolerate wage deductions not permitted by law, including wage deductions as a disciplinary measure.
3.5 Working Hours
INDUSTRONIC applies the statutory or applicable collectively agreed provisions on working hours, including overtime, rest breaks and vacation.
INDUSTRONIC ensures that the regular weekly working hours plus the maximum possible overtime are not exceeded and that working time regulations are followed.
3.6 Freedom of Association
We respect the right of employees to freedom of association and freedom of assembly as well as the right to collective bargaining and collective agreements, as far as this is legally permissible and possible in the respective country of employment. If this is not permissible, we seek appropriate compromises for our employees.
3.7 Diversity and Inclusion, Prohibition of Discrimination
INDUSTRONIC values the diversity of its employees and promotes a working environment that enables inclusion. We are committed to equal opportunities and reject all forms of discrimination and unequal treatment based on national and ethnic origin, social background, health status, disability, sexual orientation, age, gender, political opinion, religion or belief.
Our company lives by the principle of equal pay for male and female employees for work of equal value.
3.8 Reporting Management
We encourage our employees to address their concerns openly and directly. They should report any circumstances that suggest a violation of laws or our internal rules. All reports will be investigated thoroughly and confidentially.
In order to protect employees INDUSTRONIC has established an ombudsman for offenses against the General Equal Treatment Act. Any employee who feels discriminated or treated unfairly may appeal to this ombudsman.
Employees, managers and members of the works council are regularly instructed and sensitized to protect against discrimination. Suppliers and customers are bound to fulfill their contracts without discriminating anybody.
The foundations of our actions
Our joint success is not based solely on economic indicators, innovative products or excellent customer service, above all, it is built on a solid foundation of integrity, responsibility and trust. As a company, we have a special responsibility towards our employees, customers, business partners and society.
This Code of Conduct is our compass. It provides us with clear guidelines for fair, respectful and law-abiding behavior in our daily work. It helps us make decisions in line with our values, even in complex and challenging situations.
Compliance with this Code of Conduct is not a formality. It is an expression of our corporate culture and identity. Leading by example and taking responsibility is a shared commitment we all embrace.
