Successful Girls’ Day at INDUSTRONIC

Author: Meike Baunach

Last Thursday, Girls’ Day took place at our company, where we gave four girls the opportunity to gain an insight into
the working world of an IT systems electronics technician.

From 09:00 to 14:30, we had prepared a varied program that we would like to share with you. We started the day with a round of introductions, followed by an open exchange about our mutual expectations. We then gave the girls a tour of our company and showed them the different departments. As most of the girls had never been on a company tour before, they were very interested in the work processes in an industrial company.

We also explained to them what tasks an IT systems electronics technician has in day-to-day operations. The girls particularly enjoyed making announcements via our AP intercom at reception, working hands-on with the labeling device from the warehouse and trying out the floor printer. The girls were then able to apply their newly acquired knowledge together in a small test. After a snack of delicious pizza, the highlight of the day followed: dismantling a computer, where we presented and explained the most important components. The girls were enthusiastic and showed great interest in the components and how a computer works.

The final round of feedback was extremely positive: the girls not only enjoyed the activities, but also learned a lot of new things.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this eventful day!

We look forward to organizing more events like this in the future and getting young people excited about our industry.
