Every year a regional innovator competition takes place which is sponsored by regional companies which form the “creative heads foundation”. Students from surrounding schools are encouraged to participate.

The goal of the competition is to awaken the inventive talent of kids for technical problems and to unlock undiscovered skills and potential. Students get to work together with experts from the various companies and create a functioning model of their own idea.

INDUSTRONIC’s students won first prize in the category “Protection of Resources”. They invented an Energy Saving Control System. This system detects if a (storage) battery is fully charged and cuts off the energy supply. The electronic circuit is designed so that the operational amplifier switches off when the battery of the electrical consumer is fully charged.

The brothers Antonin and Axel Hepp came to work with our technical experts on 5 occasions in order to complete their model. They soldered circuit boards and screwed in the power supply unit. Once completed they had a perfectly functioning Energy Saving Control System.
