Our new INTRON-X is a state-of-the-art modular IP-based platform for scalable Intercom, PA/GA and PA solutions. With open interfaces for system networking, connection of external communication and control systems, and a modular and flexible design, the INTRON-X provides solutions for all types of industrial communication needs and requirements.
There are five main INTRON-X modules: XCO, XBC, XDG, XIO and XAL available.
We want to introduce all these modules to you in more detail in the next couple of blog posts. Today we want to begin with the core element of the INTRON-X – the fully IP-capable X-Controller XCO.
Best Solution for Small, Medium-Sized and Huge Cross-Plant Communication Systems
The XCO is the intelligent processor unit. Its main purpose is to distribute audio data to all connected terminal devices as well as to control and monitor all components of the system. It also controls and manages warning sequences for various warning scenarios to promptly inform people about emergency situations and to effectively evacuate them out of danger areas.
One X-controller can manage up to 400 terminal devices like intercom stations, amplifiers and much more. You can network up to 250 X-Controllers for more complex communication requirements. So it is the best possible solution for small, medium-sized and huge cross-plant communication systems.
The XCO has an integrated self-monitoring function. Together with flexible redundancy concepts (A+B and Hot-Standby) the XCO ensures continuous operation and maximum system availability.
Compact Industrial Design
The INTRON-X modules have a uniform and fanless industrial design. One module has a width of only 1/3 19″ and a height of 1 RU. All modules have the same size so that 3 of them can be flexibly combined in a 19″ chassis or other suitable location by using the appropriate chassis. This allows a decentralized and centralized installation – just how your project requires it. Thanks to IP all INTRON-X components are interconnected via network.
Various Interfaces to 3rd Party Systems
A variety of integrated software functions like audio processing as well as interfaces to SNMP, Modbus TCP and SIP can be used to interconnect with 3rd party systems such as PABX, fire and gas detection systems, distributed control systems, or network management systems.
The X-Controller can be supplied via PoE or an external DC power supply. Commissioning is done via software tools and the integrated web interface from INDUSTRONIC.
The X-Controller comes with all required accessories to start right out of the box. This means that all required cables and terminal blocks are included in a so-called Preferred Module.
