High Power Density and Flexible System Design
The XPA delivers up to 1,600 watts total output power in a compact 19″, 2 RU rack design. This high-power density makes it ideal for installations with limited space. It supports both centralized system architectures and decentralized concepts. Decentralized amplifier placement can significantly reduce cable routes, installation effort, and overall system complexity.
Reliable Performance under Demanding Conditions
The XPA features four independent 400 watt amplifier channels, enabling simultaneous zone operation and loudspeaker loops. High-efficiency, transformerless Class D technology minimizes waste heat and reduces power consumption, even during continuous operation. Most importantly, the XPA delivers 30 minutes of continuous operation at full output power at elevated ambient temperature without shutdown, power throttling, or volume drop. Internal power reserves ensure that the amplifier operates at only 80% of its maximum design capacity even when delivering full rated output power.
Redundancy and Monitoring Made Simple
The XPA supports flexible N+1 redundancy concepts, including external backup amplifiers and optional internal channel redundancy. All switchovers are automatic and immediate, with no loss of critical alarm functions. Dual Ethernet interfaces provide network redundancy, while integrated loudspeaker monitoring eliminates the need for external end-of-line modules and simplifies installation.
Scalable and Fully Integrated
With optional XPAZ zone selector modules, the system can be expanded to up to 64 individually addressable loudspeaker circuits, covering both finely segmented indoor zones and high-power outdoor applications. The XPA is fully embedded in the unified INTRON-X platform, ensuring consistent functionality and centralized monitoring. Backward compatibility with previous NPA amplifier generations and INTRON-D plus protects existing investments. Designed for fast deployment, the XPA requires only power and network connectivity. Smart mechanical design and optimized connector placement minimize installation time and effort.
