Get to know the NPA – Modular Design & Flexible Installation

The IP-based PA unit of the NPA series is used for intelligent public address solutions. It seamlessly interfaces with the INTRON-D plus communication and public address system via Ethernet/IP.

Its modular design offers individual combinations of slide-in amplifier modules and power supply units. They can be simply inserted and replaced on the back of the device. You can also install a redundant power supply unit and amplifier module to ensure uninterrupted operation. There is also the option to provide an additional NPA device as backup component (N+1 component redundancy) to comply with increased safety requirements.

You can start small with the basic coniguration offering 1 digital amplifier channel, up to 4 monitored speaker circuits and an output power of 300 Watts. If you require more amplifier power, you can easily expand your device at any time.

The NPA’s maximum configuration comes with 4 digital amplifier channels which can be used simultaneously, up to 8 monitored speaker circuits and a maximum output power of 600 Watts. Use several IP PA units to implement even more extensive solutions.

The NPA can be installed both as centralized or decentralized solution. If you decide in favor of a centralized installation, the NPA is usually mounted into a central exchange cabinet. For a decentralized installation, the device is installed indoors at different places throughout the plant and near the speakers. The short cable distances reduce cabling costs. In general, the NPA can be installed anywhere on the LAN treated as independent IP amplifier with integrated zone selection and optional speaker monitoring.
