Yesterday, on the occasion of Girls’ Day, INDUSTRONIC once again opened its doors to give interested female students a hands-on look into technical careers. This year, we had the pleasure of welcoming a student who was curious about the apprenticeship program for Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems – a day full of technology, exchange, and practical experience.

The day began with a relaxed introduction round. This gave the participant, as well as the trainers Timo Keimig, David Mauder, and Meike Baunach, the opportunity to get to know each other, talk about their interests and previous experience, and share expectations for the day.

We then gave our guest a tour of the company – an essential part of the experience, as it offers a real-world look into our daily operations, work environment, and company culture. Things got particularly interesting in the technical departments such as production, testing, and project engineering: our trainers provided detailed explanations of the typical tasks and responsibilities of an Electronics Technician and highlighted the variety the job offers.

Of course, the practical part was not to be missed: using a schematic diagram, our visitor built her own circuit – and the result was impressive! The circuit worked exactly as planned and sparked a well-deserved sense of pride.

We’re very happy to have introduced another young woman to the profession of Electronics Technician – because technology has no gender. Girls’ Day is a wonderful opportunity each year to inspire enthusiasm for technical careers, break down stereotypes, and give young people real insight into the world of electronics.
