Integrated Vinyls Plant Project

General project description

RusVinyl is a joint venture between the Sibur Holding and the Belgian PVC manufacturer SolVin. The project started with the construction of the polyvinyl chloride integrated plant in 2010 and will be the largest of its kind in Russia with a polymer production capacity of 330,000 tons per year.

The grass root plant consists of an UEM electrolysis unit, a VCM production unit, a PVC-E and a PVC-S production unit.

Project scope

  • Task: Engineering, delivery and commissioning support
  • System: Public address and general alarm system
  • Scope of delivery/details:
    • A total of 10 INTRON-D plus central exchange cabinets; partly configured as A+B systems connected via dedicated fiber optic network, and additional 9 amplifier cabinets
    • 4 master intercom stations in the control room and gate house
    • Approx. 50,000 W of amplifier power, each cabinet is equipped with a backup amplifier
    • Approx. 700 loudspeaker lines monitoring 350 loops
    • Interfaces to the fire & gas detection system and telephone system
  • Schedule: The order was received in April 2013, delivery in the middle of 2013, commissioning scheduled for 2013-2014
  • Parties involved in the project: International engineering group Technip was awarded the contract for engineering, equipment supply and construction management. Globalstroy-Engineering was appointed as general contractor. SNEF Group will handle the telecom part as system integrator.
    Commissioning will be performed in cooperation with the local INDUSTRONIC partner in Russia.
