General project description

Uz-Kor is 50/50 owned by the companies Uzbekneftegas and Kor-Uz Gas Chemical Investment Ltd, which in turn is owned by Kogas (45%), Lotte Chemical (49%) and STX Energy (6%).

The US$ 3.9 billion integrated gas-to-petrochemicals project (“Project”) comprises the development and operation of:

  • Upstream Facilities: Surgil Field – involving drilling of new production wells and construction of upstream infrastructure and facilities (including complex gas treatment unit and gas/condensate pipelines)
  • UGCC – including a gas separation plant (‘GSP’), a cracker, a high density polyethylene (‘HDPE’) plant, a polypropylene (‘PP’) plant and associated utilities and off-sites (‘U&O’) – including power and water supply infrastructure, roads, railroads and site accommodation

Project scope

  • Task: Engineering, delivery & commissioning support
  • System: Intercom & PAGA systems
  • Scope of delivery/details:
    • A total of 13 INTRON-D plus central exchange units with amplifier cabinets are interconnected via a dedicated fiber optic single-mode network (IP-based)
    • 296 different types of intercom stations (IP-based & digital) are used for indoor and outdoor applications as well as for explosive areas (zone 1 & zone 22). Access Panels are among them. Accessories such as acoustic hoods and beacons are installed.
    • 14.750 W centralized amplifier power with zone selection & speaker loop monitoring
    • 1.058 indoor, outdoor & explosion-proof loudspeakers are provided
    • Interface to external fire & gas system as well as to VoIP-based telephone system
  • Schedule: The orders were received in the first quarter of 2014; delivery of all systems at the end of 2014; commissioning in 2015/ 2016
  • Parties involved in the project: EPC contractors: Hyundai E & C, Korea (Utilities & Offsites), Samsung Engineering, Korea (HDPE, GSP, PP), GS E & C, Korea (Ethylene Plant); The orders were awarded to INDUSTRONIC by the assigned Telecom system integrator, Vector Infotech Pte. Ltd., Singapore. Support during the commissioning of the systems will be provided in cooperation with our Russian partner GIT.
