General project description

PetroChina is China's largest oil company. Dushanzi is located in the Xinjiang province, in the North-West of the country. The Dushanzi-Complex consists of 2 plants: a refinery with a capacity of over 10 million tons per year, as well as an ethylene plant with a capacity of over 2 million tons. Other downstream plants are in the planning stage.

Project scope

  • Task: Engineering, delivery and commissioning by our subsidiary company in China
  • System: Intercom, public address, warning and general alarm system
  • Scope of delivery/details: Total of 7 INTRON-D central exchanges (oil refinery and chemical plant) with over 80 desktop call stations and more than 500 explosion-proof call stations, each with 25W outdoor amplifiers and loudspeakers.
  • Schedule: The first contract was awarded in 2007, with deliveries starting from mid-2007. All systems are already in operation.
  • Parties involved in the project: On-site implementation via our subsidiary company, INDUSTRONIC Beijing

Special features

To coordinate the production processes in the two independent plants, a plant-wide, process-oriented communication structure was developed and integrated together with the end customer. A central command center controls the  warning and general alarm processes in emergency situations.
