Today\u00b4s topic of INDUSTRONIC functions is the \u201cMultiControl Group\u201d. This function is often used in control rooms, where you can flexibly decide at which intercom station you want to answer a call.<\/p>\n

Communication with a MultiControl Group <\/strong><\/h3>\n

At the beginning of the communication a point-to-multipoint connection is established where all free members of the MultiControl group can listen to the message simultaneously. As soon as one member of the MultiControl group answers, a private two-way connection is established where 2 subscribers can speak and listen alternately, but not simultaneously. All other members of the MultiControl group cannot listen, but they are free for other calls.<\/p>\n

Application Example<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A typical application example is a centralized, multifunctional control room. From there, the staff controls the communication with individuals in entrance or production areas via several intercom stations having equal rights. If one of the intercom stations in a control room is already busy, another free intercom station can accept a different call.<\/p>\n

MultiControl Group and Parallel Group <\/strong><\/h3>\n

As the MultiControl group is similar to the parallel group<\/a>, which I introduced to you in my recently published blog article, I will soon post a blog article about the small but subtle differences between these two INDUSTRONIC functions at this place.<\/p>\n
