Today\u00b4s topic of INDUSTRONIC functions is the \u201cConference\u201d where several members are connected with each other via a conference channel.<\/p>\n

All Subscribers Can Speak to Each Other<\/strong><\/h3>\n

You use conferences if you want to easily and quickly connect several subscribers from different locations. They can then talk about operational processes or discuss the next work steps, for example. Conferences are held in half-duplex<\/a> mode. This means that the members can speak and listen alternately, but not simultaneously.<\/p>\n

Step 1: Initiate a Conference<\/strong><\/h3>\n

First, you trigger a group call or an all call to invite members to a conference. The members required are asked to log into the mentioned conference channel.<\/p>\n

Step 2: Log In<\/strong><\/h3>\n

To log into the conference each member presses the respective conference channel key at his station. Each member can now listen to all conversations held in this conference.<\/p>\n

Step 3: Speak Into the Conference<\/strong><\/h3>\n

To speak into the conference, a member presses the respective key at his station which is exclusively reserved for this purpose. He then keeps it pressed and speaks into the microphone (Push-to-Talk).<\/p>\n

Priorities<\/strong><\/h3>\n

You can assign an individual priority for each conference. This means that an active conference overrides functions with the same or lower priority. A conference can only be interrupted by a voice connection or function with a higher priority.<\/p>\n

Conference Master <\/strong><\/h3>\n

For each conference you can optionally assign a master intercom station. Only this conference master can then initiate the conference and invite members. When the conference master logs out again, the conference is terminated and all other members are also logged out.<\/p>\n
